Why, oh, why did I write Pipe Dreams of the Soul Eater?

I think Cormac McCarthy said it best:

“I don’t know why I started writing. I don’t know why anybody does it. Maybe they’re bored, or failures at something else.”

Actually, neither is true for me. Well, not entirely true.
